Is this a common problem? I would personally try and teach the people around me about the importance of prayer in my life. I don’t think you need a special sign. I think the movement of the salat should be a sign enough. It seems like we’re adding a complication to an already perfectly simple and adequate Islamic pillar.

That thing should come with a pair of binoculars or possibly a telescope which allows interested parties to read the sign… that should be your next project… a pair of binoculars or potentially a telescope that also fits in one’s wallet…

Thank you for utilizing what Allah has given you (brain, time, Internet, …)

I thought about the same idea before, cuz at work you need to tell people, don’t “bother me, I’m praying” … but maybe a more visible sign while praying.

How about a vest, like those safety vest with illuminating stripes

Also, putting that small cards infront of you may later turn into a “bidaa” and confuses new generations.

I think the idea is pretty silly, no one is going to come up close enough to you to read the small piece of folded paper. If enough people start praying, people will realize what you are doing.
